I own an 30 key Melodia Alan Pell street organ called (The Little Welsh Girl)which was a regular atendee at May Day Steam and Widnes but has been in storrage for the past 3 years because I help out on The Whites Gavioli at rallies and The Little Welsh Girl got rather neglected. I recently broughte her out of storage and dusted of the facade and figures charged it switched it on and it wont start. I am hoping to take it back to its birth place at Alan Pells Factory in Lincolnshire to see if they can do any thing other wise does any one else have advice please?

Hi Robert
Always difficult to diagnose problems from a distance.
However having been in storage for three years there is the possibility that the battery/s are the problem.Even having been charged it is possible that condition of the battery is such that it will not take a charge.
I would try another battery that is known to be OK.
Be mindful that you have the correct voltage and that it is connected correctly.
If this dosn't work put the kettle on when Phil is on his way.
Incidentally battery technology is a minefield and they will notlike being left without charge for long periods.

Hi Robert
Good to hear that you are up and running.

It would be best to charge the battery from time to time to ensure that it dosn't go flat and if not in use for any length of time take it off the organ.
When storing it do not have it on a cold floor.
