Well it’s been over 1 year for the website and forum. Not much response over that time even to any mail sent out. The last email that was sent to all the forums members I asked some questions, the result was I got 3 replies not good and now am wondering if I’m wasting my time and money with it all. Now I have just got all the yearly subscription demands arrived in my inbox do I pay or close the website and forum down or pay up?
The funding isn’t a problem has I fund it all myself. I enjoy running the site and forum and would like to remain doing so with the members support.
Please respond. P.T.Radford Amateur Organ Builders Group website & forum administrator.

I think the forum & website should stay, as its an great place to chat about new organs that are being built or organs that are being rebuilt. It would be sad to see the website & forum go.

Shame if it has to close. It is a must read for us amateur builders and a great site for news. All credit to Phil for taking on this task. Sid.

Id like to thank all the members for their replies to the news email that was sent out regarding
Is this the end of the AOBG forum / website?
I received a good response for keeping the forum and website up and running and I will be doing just that but with some changes to the running of the website and the forum. In a nutshell I will be running everything the way I intended. So more demo video clips on how to build pipes and so on, maybe some free plans.
In other words I’m not just going to rely on others to send in their articles. As we all can see in order to move forward someone has to be seen to be spearheading the website and the forum and it seems, as it is to be me. Just to put you all in the picture in the setting up of the website and its forum I was instructed/guided only to be the administrator and run it all and remain behind the scene and to push the AOBG and NOT Phil Radford. Hence all my articles are in Phil Radford and not AOBG. Now you might be thinking what’s the difference, one tends to get better web search results if one uses a consistent name through out one’s web pagers. In other words if you want more members and visitors to a website/forum use the exact phrase over and over again and don’t dilute it with several phrase’s like Phil, Radford, AOBG, yours the administrator and so on. For a example if you look at that other organ forum and look at the administrator name you will see his name all over the forum that’s one of the keys to the forums success. We all know the administrator and if not you must of heard of him. I think you all know the forum I’m referring to. Which as you all must know I’m a strong supporter of the forum and the administrator and we do keep in touch by email and the forum and sometimes the phone. I cannot name the forum as this forum’s provider prohibits the promotion of other forum except their own.
Please bear in mind I only started the website/forum for a good friend who I see has a steersman in the AOB movement. In fact this steersman chose the name of the website/forum and had complete control (all though through me) in what was to be carried out. Also pre-approved all stages at all times by phone email and temporary website’s up till today. I hope the steersman and me remain good friends and I will still take guidance from him but I am now having the last say on every aspect of the website and forum from today. But I would like to thank him for all his input he’s a great man and wish him all the best as we move on. So my feelings have been for a considerable time that I’ve been left to sink or swim. Now I don’t do the sinking thing so with the support of you all out there I will be attacking this website and forum by the keyboard and moving it onwards. So no more putting items and issues to the vote. I will just do things as I feel the need to be done. This doesn’t mean I won’t listen to members or take any advice on what is right or wrong for the AOBG movement, I just want to stop all the pompousness and get on with the task. If you don’t like any think please let me know and please do the same for anything you do like.
If anyone would like to help or become a Moderator of the forum or help in anyway please get in touch.
Yours Phil Radford the AOBG administrator.

Well done Phil I am so pleased that you are keeping the forum going and you need to be able to do it your way. I think one of the problems we face is that a lot of the AOB.s are old and not too clever with web sites and I am certainly one of these. I really appreciate Phils help to me over the past few years, he is a good bloke so lets stick with him.
