My accordion project. I will be posting more videos of this project soon. At the moment it is only playing 26 notes (no bass notes.) It’s running on a noisy blower so sorry for that but this accordion is part of a larger organ build and will not be running on this blower. If you a wondering what my next project may be, well I fancy a go at mechanical guitar or banjo.
I wonder on how voltage are you driving your little solenoids ? And which pressure ? I think it is very little, so how do you manage to use it whith a pressure for a big organ ? Hum, many questions.... Have a good evening ! Chris
Nice Accordion well done. Alan Pell manufactures one called magic accordion which I think is a great addition for the dining room but are a little pricey for me. What sort of money could one be manufactured for. I think Alans version runs on 48key scale music
Hi thanks for your comments Chris & Stuart, wind pressure is 3.1/5 inch. All the solenoids are running on 24 volts. My pipe organ runs on 3.1/5 inch so no problem. To build was cheep in comparison to the magic accordion of Alan Pells but one must remember Alan Pells is a professional builder so the finish is brilliant. The total cost of my build was about £350.00 but that’s every thing including 2 identical accordions off ebay, j-Omega Electronics MIDI parallel circuit board and all the solenoids that came from rollcutter.com and the Casio FD-1 MIDI player off ebay. Sorry for my delay in answering your comments just a lot going on at my end.
