An all new MiDi Controller for your MiDi pipe organ.

Well what can I say about this device apart from it’s grate and fantastic piece of fully updateable kit. For more info on it please hit the link below my video. Introducing the all new SD Midi Controller. This unit has taken over two years to design & develop in the UK & Germany. The unit is not some cheap Far Eastern mass-produced imported device that one cannot understand never mind use! (please see below for all operating instructions) It is manufactured in Shropshire, England, UK by Robert Rushton and a small development team. Why is it so Unique and Special? If you are a musician, organist or have any instrument that can be played via midi, then this small Handheld/Pocket Sized unit will give you a simple means to transport and play your music from a standard SD Memory card. It will be a great replacement for other older floppy driven controllers, such as the Yamaha MDF2 or the Casio FD-1 & other similar disc Midi Filers. IT IS VERY FAST - 255 tracks can be copied to the SD card in just a couple of seconds and ready for instant play back!
This SD Midi Controller or Filer is not just for electronic musicians; it has also been designed as an additional optional extra for the new universal piano player system that has been developed. It can also be used with midi controlled pipe organs. A number of these SD Midi controllers are now being evaluated by organ builders both in the UK and US. This SD Midi Controller will also be available later on Ebay in a four part kit, (Fully built PCB, 24x2 LCD Display, Push Button array and IR sensor) for people who wish to build this controller into their own instruments. It will be as simple as Plug and Play, with each part having a plug in connections and ribbon fly leads to suit your application.
So if you own a Yamaha Disklavier / Disclavier, Clavinova or have similar digital piano that supports the standard Midi 0 format, then you will find this unit perfect for playing Piano or Organ Midi's (NO MORE OLD FLOPPY DISKS OR HAVING TO WRITE TO CD's). The unit has been tested it on the following makes of electronic keyboards and synthesizers: Yamaha - Roland - Korg - Kawai and Casio, as well as a few bespoke midi boards. This pretty much covers all the main standards.

Preparing the SD—MMC Memory Card(All capacities are ok, 32Mb, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1Gb to 4Gb) 1. Insert a SD Memory card into your computers card reader or card slot (Marked SD/MMC). 2. Using Windows Explorer (Right click on the Start button and Select Explorer) You should see the card as another drive letter or called MMC—SD (Drive Letter) 3. Right click on the card and select Format… A window will open Saying Format MMC – SD 4. Change the File System option to FAT (It may say FAT16, but it means the same thing) 5. Next, click the Start button in the box. A warning box will open! 6. CAUTION! MAKE SURE YOU ARE ONLY FORMATTING THE MMC—SD ITEM! 7. Click OK and in a second another little box will open saying format Complete. Click OK.
Copying Midi Files to the SD—MMC Card (Midi Format 0) 1. Your files need to be in the Midi 0 format. 2. You can convert files using software like GNMIDI that can be downloaded from this website: 3. http://www.gnmidi.com. 4. It is best practise to create directories on your computer for each SD—MMC card as a backup. You can name the directories accordingly, e.g. Jazz, Mozart, etc. 5. Copy or move your Midi files into these new directories. (If you have converted any midi files with the above software please do not copy the files that end with .bak. They are midi 1 format) 6. Next, copy your files on to the SD Card. 7. Insert the card in the unit and switch on. 8. It will then scan the files and display the first detected file. This is the first file that was copied to the card and may not necessarily be in alphabetical order.
