I don’t usually build my pipes this way, but I have had a few questions about voicing from people that are building one of John Smith’s organs. So I decided for this organ build I would make the pipes in the same way as John Smith’s plans illustrates this way there should be no confusion or miss understanding of anyone building one of John’s organs. Please remember I’m not a professional organ builder just an AOBG’er. Hope this video helps

Thanks for this Video Phil I have been lucky so far with my voicing but it sure is nice to see it done and I now have a better understanding of what I a trying to do. Ive been trying to get my JS Universal 26 done and this is going to help A LOT. Thanks again Jay
Hellp Phil, Just watched your YouTube video on pipe making and must compliment you on your work. Very soon I will begin building Tibia pipes for part of a 4' tibia, and am very interested in the calculations you use for your pipe dimensions, especially for the windsheet gasket, and I didn't see what you did on the back of the cap at the bottom of the pipe. You seed you planed it or something. Most caps are concave in shape as you look at the back of the cap. I am also interested as to why you don't put a sloping surface on the top of the lower block. This is my first post on this forum, and I look forward to being a regular participant. Thanks, Johnc
