Is there a Copydex substitute?

I know, I don't have the plans..... shame on me.

I was wondering what the USA guys are using to voice their pipes with.

Copydex is just liquid latex. You can buy this at most craft stores. It is used for making casting moulds (molds in USA).
Information on using it for pipemaking is on my website

Hi folks,
I contacted the manufacturer to ask this question. It took them a while to figure out, but in the US there is a Loctite product called "Handyman's All-Purpose Adhesive Sealant" that they say is the same as Copydex. They actually sent me a tube as a sample. It worked perfectly to glue my pipe fronts on.

Good luck,
Bob

Wow,

Thanks Bob E. I actually have some liquid latex here. I use it for casting molds. Sweet.

Bob M., that is good information as well. You didn't say what the removal of the fronts were like. :-)

Well, so far I haven't need to remove a front. I did a test with s**** pieces.
They pulled apart easily enough.

I don't know why those ***** are in the last post.
It looks like I'm swearing. Should be "small."

This site is even better than I thought you answered my question about adhesives before I had a chance to ask. Think I'll settle back and wait for the answers to my questions. Thank you gentleman. Ron Costa

Ron,

If you have a question that hasn't been answered here, fire away. We do not always cover every possible question.

Glad the answers here helped you, they surely helped me.
